9 Ethnicities Played By The Same Actor In Every Movie

In Hollywood, they don't seem to spread the love very often when it comes to picking actors to play the parts of foreigners in American movies. The following list is comprised of actors who seem to consistently be the one chosen to play their ethnicity and culture in big blockbuster movies. This is of course not a bad thing at all, as most of the following actors are extremely talented.

#1 Rade Serbedzija -
Rade always seems to play the Russian/Armenian/Albanian/Eastern European in most movies where that role is necessary. You may recognize him as that role from: Taken 2, X-Men: First Class, Batman Begins, 24, Mission Impossible 2, Harry Potter 7.1, Space Cowboys, The Saint, and many many more. He has probably played more Russian characters in American cinema than any actor in Hollywood.

#2 Jean Reno -
Jean always seems to play the Frenchman in most action movies where a Frenchman is necessary. You may recognize him from Godzilla, The Da Vinci Code, Leon The Professional, Mission Impossible, The Pink Panther, and many many others. He has also been in about 100 French films.

#3 Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Djimon Hounsou -
These two always play the African warrior/diplomat/ambassador/president/agent/slave in most movies they are in. You may recognize Adewale from Lost, The Bourne Identity, Pompeii, G.I. Joe, Thor 2, The Mummy Returns, and Congo. You will recognize Djimon from Gladiator, The Island, Blood Diamond, Never Back Down, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Amistad. These two actors are amazing in everything they are in.

#4 Chin Han -
Chin always plays the Chinese businessman/diplomat/everyday man in many movies that call for such a Chinese person. You will recognize him from The Dark Knight, 2012, Contagion, Captain America 2, Blacklist, and more. Though he has not been in tons of movies, he has become the Chinese actor for these parts and replaced his counterparts in the last 10 years or so.

#5 Colin Firth -
Colin always plays the English gentleman, and has a way of wooing American girls in every part he plays (I am very surprised he hasn't made his way into Downton Abbey yet). You will recognize him from A Single man, Dorian Gray, Mamma Mia, Love Actually, Bridget Jones's Diary, Shakespeare In Love, The English Patient, The King's Speech, Pride and Prejudice, and more.

#6 Joaquim de Almeida -
Jaoquim always seems to play the Mexican cartel leader/drug lord/governmental official. You will recognize him from Fast Five, Clear and Present Danger, Desperado, Behind Enemy Lines, Wanted, 24, and many other films. He is actually from Portugal, in fact.

#7 Wes Studi -
Wes is a critically acclaimed actor who always portrays the Native American Indian. You will recognize him from The Last of the Mohicans, The New World, Hell On Wheels, Mystery Men, Dances With Wolves, and even the tribal leader in Avatar.

#8 Anil Kapoor -
Anil is a famous Indian actor, and plays the Indian diplomat/leader/villain in many films. You will recognize him from 24, Slumdog Millionaire, Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol, and many many Indian films.

#9 Ken Watanabe and Hiroyuki Sanada -
These two actors are probably more prevalent in their positions than anyone else on the list. You will recognize these two from their roles as the Japanese Samurai/Warrior/businessman/villain/scientist/hero in every movie they are in. Ken Watanabe is extremely famous for his roles in Inception, Batman Begins, The Last Samurai, Letters From Iwo Jima, Godzilla, Transformers 4, Memoirs of a Geisha, and many others. Hiroyuki Sanada is famous for his roles in The Wolverine, 47 Ronin, Revenge, Lost, Sunshine, The Last Samurai, Speed Racer, and Helix.
